The Roots of Migration and Farm Workers

This workshop uses art and collective puzzle-solving to examine the timeline of colonization, slavery, and immigration in the U.S. as it relates to farmworkers today. Dominique Aulisio of National Farm Worker Ministry’s Youth and Young Adult Network (YAYA) will present.

This workshop leads up to a march for immigrant rights held by the Farmworker Association of Florida on Monday, May 1 at 2pm in Apopka.

Issues and Action takes place every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.

Note: We are now using our “Summer Format.” No meal is offered by you are invited to bring your dinner and join others for fellowship and conversation before the program.

Join us for fellowship, get an update on an important social issue, and learn techniques for taking action in the world.

Free & open to the public. Donations welcome.
Your RSVP to programassistant@orlandouu.org will help us plan but is not required.

Schedule
join others for fellowship by bringing a brown bag dinner (6:00 pm)
a time of centering (6:45 pm) and
a timely program (7:00 pm).
Cookies and tea are served at 8:00 during the interactive part of the evening.
We are done by 8:30 pm. Please come to all or part of the evening.
