Audio Team

The Audio Team

The Audio Team is currently led by Paul Burdette and Tim Wiley. It is a Support Services group.

MISSION

The Audio Team's main goal is to provide sound support in the Sanctuary for Sunday services and assist our minister, worship associates, speakers, and guests spread the UU word.

When we do our job right, you never even notice we are there!

 WHAT WE DO

Audio Team is a weekly commitment.  We share the work load to...

  • Arrive by 9:30 AM at the latest to set up.
  • Hold sound checks at 10:15 AM.
  • Support the service starting at 10:45.
  • Clean up after service and close by 1 PM.
  • If a Sunday also includes a Congregational Meeting, we set up sound in Gore Hall, manage sound needs during the meeting, and clean it all up by 3:30 PM.

EXTRA INFO

Though our main purpose is supporting the Sunday Service, when man power allows Audio volunteers will sometimes  help to provide sound support for special events, band rehearsals, choir activities, etc.

We have an experimental project in providing some sermon samples for your enjoyment.  This is done in spare time only, so if you like the samples we encourage you to come down on any Sunday and catch the First Unitarian experience live!

MEETINGS AND JOINING

We see each other each Sunday so do not hold formal meetings.  The rest of the time we keep in touch over phone or email.

New volunteers always welcome. Though volunteers with sound and technical knowledge especially welcome, no experience is. necessary. We can train you in basics!
