Communication & Collaboration
Some of our programs are highly structured, others loosely structured, and still others operate on a nearly ad hoc basis. There is no one right way to organize or communicate within a group. To encourage communication between groups and with the congregation, the following tools are envisioned.

Monthly Program Reports are submitted to the Board of Trustees by the Minister, as Chief of Staff. This is meant to be a high-level overview of the previous month. Programs with material to include in these reports may send it to minister@orlandouu.org by the first Monday of the month.

An Annual Program Report is submitted to the Congregation at the time of the Annual Meeting in May. Programs are encouraged to send their report covering from May 1 of the previous year to April 30 of the current year as soon after May 1 as possible.

Program Gatherings are held several times a year bringing together program leaders and other interested folks. Usually held on a Saturday morning, they can include sharing of plans, nuts & bolts, education, team building, and more.

Deep Chair Conversations are periodic gatherings providing an opportunity to reflect on and discuss an important topic outside of normal business and decision making. Once a topic is chosen, key participants are identified and a date set. Direct invitation is made to others likely to be interested. Notice is given to the whole congregation. The goal is to have several a year.

Program Procedures continue to be developed and can be found on the 1U website as they are available.
