Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life
Wednesdays 7 p.m. Feb. 17 – April 7
What are the tasks of the two halves of life? We think the second half of life is about getting old, dealing with health issues, and letting go of life. The thesis of this book is the opposite. What looks like falling down can largely be experienced as “falling upward.” It is not a loss but a gain, as we have all seen with elders who have come to their fullness.
Fr. Richard Rohr is a Franciscan priest in New Mexico and founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque. The class is drop-in friendly, but you’ll benefit most by reading ahead of time and coming to as many classes as you can. Facilitated by Rev. Sam.
