Gender Journeys, on Zoom

We explore and celebrate the wondrous diversity in gender identification, expression and inclusion. Our journeys are personal and we are all in different places in our learning on this topic. Hosted by WUURL, Women UUs Relishing Life.

Sat., 3/13/21; 2-4 p.m. – Session 1 : Zebra Coalition will help us all get on the same page, with basics on vocabulary, current information, and more. We will spend some time creating context for this learning/exploration – how it deepens our spirits and reflects the values that Unitarian Universalism holds as important. Facilitated by Kathy Homblette (representing WUURL) and Rev. Kierstin Homblette Allen

Sat., 3/20/21; 2-4 p.m. – Session 2: Ellen Tetlow will facilitate a panel of folks affiliated with 1U who have agreed to share some insights into gender journeys of their own or their family. How has the congregation and-/or UU played a role in that journey?

Sat., 3/27/21; 2-4 p.m. – Session 3: Radical Inclusion. 1U built all-user bathrooms in the sanctuary. How can we make sure ALL are truly welcome and made to feel comfortable? What spiritual and heart work does radical inclusion require? Facilitated by Rev. Kierstin Homblette Allen and Ellen Tetlow.
