Community Discussion of the Film “Same Kind of Different as Me”

See the film “Same Kind of Different as Me” in the theater (currently showing at Fashion Square Mall) and then gather with others from the faith community for conversation. First Unitarian Church of Orlando (1U) previously had a conversation among its members and now looks forward to welcoming those from other faith communities as well as representatives of organizations working on issues of homelessness in Central Florida, to continue the conversation. Join us on Tuesday, November 14m 2017 from 6:00-7:00 in Gore Hall. RSVP for Community Conversation here.

The Film

“Same Kind of Different as Me” is based on the best-selling book by Ron Hall, which tells the true story of how volunteering at a rescue mission transformed the lives of a married couple and the homeless man they befriended. This moving, powerful movie stars Academy Award winners Jon Voight and Renee Zellweger, and nominees Greg Kinnear and Djimon Hounsou.
