The mission of the First Unitarian Church of Orlando is to exemplify liberal religion in Central Florida with a commitment to lifelong spiritual growth and compassionate service to the community. Our commitment to lifelong spiritual growth leads to a variety of programs for children and youth, as well as for adults.

The Children’s Religious Education (CRE or RE) program is for kids ages 9 months through 18 years. Please use the Enroll Today button below to register for classes.

While there is no required fee for the program, we welcome donations, delivered to the Director of Children and Youth Ministries.

Each year our programs are anchored in a theme utilized throughout the entire congregation. We try, where possible, to match our offerings so that what’s heard in the sermon reflects lessons in both children’s and adult RE as well as other groups and areas of church life. Here’s this year’s theme, along with those from the previous three years:

2018–2019 | Serving with Joy & Generosity
2017–2018 | Understanding Racism
2016–2017 | World Religions
2015–2016 | Changing The Climate

We are helping to raise the next generation of UUs—informed and engaged community activists with progressive values.  We all have a part to play. What skills and talents would you like to share with the kids of 1U? Please visit our Volunteer Page to start your journey.
