Folk Music

The First Unitarian Church of Orlando’s Folk Ensemble is directed and coordinated by Alex Moore, Jeffri Moore, and Barbara Howe. The group enjoys fellowship and sharing music with each other, as well as providing music for worship on Sunday mornings and other services throughout the year.

The Folk Ensemble plays contemporary and classic American folk music from artists such as Bob Dylan, John Denver, Ann Reed, Fred Small, Pete Seeger, Peter Paul & Mary; as well as some old-time spiritual and gospel music. They sing songs with which most people are familiar.

They welcome participants of all levels of musical experience. Several members are using this opportunity to learn to play new instruments, including guitar and mandolin.

Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm in the Enrichment Center Studio and are “drop-in” friendly.
