The Blood Mobile’s Big Red Bus joins us in the 1U parking lot on select Sundays throughout the year.
If you are physically able, your donation of a unit of blood at a blood drive here at 1U would be greatly appreciated. Each unit of blood can save up to 3 lives! ALL blood types are needed.
Many potential blood donors have questions about their ability to donate because of medical conditions or other reasons. If you are unsure, find out if you are eligible to share your power through blood donation simply by calling the OneBlood nurse at 727-568-2118. She can review your current drugs to let you know if they prohibit you from being eligible to give. Can’t give? Find a friend or family member who can, and bring them along to 1U to donate!
All are welcome and appointments can be made ahead of time at oneblood.org (search by SPONSOR for First Unitarian Church) to sign up! All blood types are needed.
Please bring an ID and be sure to have a good breakfast prior to coming.
We have the following scheduled blood drives, each from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm:
There is no substitute for human blood. When you donate blood, you are making an immediate contribution to the health and welfare of your community. Blood is needed by patients facing planned and unplanned medical procedures, trauma victims, cancer patients, and premature babies. Your donation will help an ill or injured patient within a few days.
The turn-around is fast; the need is constant. All blood types are needed.
