TAI CHI

WHO WE ARE

Tai Chi is a gentle group exercise open to both 1U members and the local community. Classes include both qi gong (energy work) and three simple tai chi forms. With regular practice, health benefits can include improved balance, lower blood pressure, greater flexibility, mental relaxation, and more. Many participants are older and have health issues they’re working on.

WHAT WE DO

Tai Chi is a one-hour class that can be done standing or seated. Wear loose, comfortable clothes and flat-soled shoes, unless you need more foot support.

A $5 donation is requested as a facility fee to 1U.

WHEN WE MEET

Classes are offered three times a week:

  • Tuesdays 10:00 – 11:00 am
  • Thursdays 10:00 – 11:00 am
  • Saturdays 9:00 – 10:00 am.

Please arrive a few minutes early if possible, since we start promptly. If you arrive late, you’re still welcome; just come in quietly and join us. Please silence cell phones during class!

HOW TO JOIN US

Come try a class any Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.
