A growing world population and issues of resource use have raised the importance of being mindful about our consumption. How do we care for ourselves and those around the world today, while also ensuring that future generations inherit a thriving and sustainable planet.
One area of daily consumption is our food choices. From 2008-2011, the Congregational Study/Action Issue (CSAI) for the Unitarian Universalist Association was Ethical Eating. It invited us to explore the impact of our choices at many levels and resulted in a Statement of Conscience also titled Ethical Eating: Food & Environmental Justice.
