Pastoral Care Associates
Pastoral Care Associates are fellow 1U members who have been especially trained to provide a confidential, caring presence to congregants undergoing stressful life challenges. Through this minister-extending program, members can receive compassionate care when they are in pain, sick, lonely or struggling with changes. It can be comforting to know you’re not alone and it helps to have someone from 1U’s faith community listen, care, and offer support. If you are in need, contact our Pastoral Care Associates Coordinator Harriett Smithson.

Summer Schedule in Effect
Through September 8 (Water Communion), we will have a single worship service each Sunday morning at 11:00 am.
Throughout the summer, Adult Education offerings are available at 9:30 am. Childcare for children five and over is available each Sunday at 9:30 & 11:00 am, except when there are intergenerational services. Nursery Care (ages 9 months-4 years) is available all morning each Sunday.
Exceptions of Note:
- June 1, our worship service is presented by the young people in our Coming of Age program. Other children, as well as adults, are encouraged to attend to hear the wisdom of these young people as they take an important step in their spiritual journeys.
- June 8, our intergenerational worship service includes our year end Flower Communion as well as a Child Dedication Ceremony. Each person attending is invited to bring a flower for garden, shop, or field to add to our beautiful bouquet representing the congregation’s diversity. The service is followed by a pot luck lunch.

June 8 – Child Dedication Ceremony Scheduling
A Child Dedication Ceremony will be held during our intergenerational service on Sunday, June 8. This is the Unitarian Universalist ceremony by which we name and welcome our children. While typically involving infants, it is also quite common to include older children when they are new to the community. If you would like your child to be included in the ceremony, please let Rev. Kathy know at firstname.lastname@example.org. This service will also be our Flower Communion celebrating the end of the Program Year.
