The Alliance – 10:30 am, Gore Hall (Email us at Alliance@OrlandoUU.org)

The Gore Hall storeroom holds many mystery items donated to the Alliance Continuing Bazaar. This Tuesday we work on getting every item out onto our shelves and clothes racks for sale on Sundays. Items that do not meet our needs (eg. way out of style, needing repair or cleaning, too large to display, or not appealing to our customers) will be sent on to the semi-annual rummage sale this March or to charities that can use them. “How can I help?” you may ask; “In many ways,” we answer:

*Attend meetings on any Tuesday in Gore Hall from 10:30 till 1:00.
*Keep on donating those fascinating items.
*Be careful to donate only clean and attractive items.
*Take other items to a charity in your neighborhood that can recycle them.

*Shop the Bazaar on Sundays or Tuesdays or during rummage sales
*Volunteer to staff the Sunday Continuing Bazaar during coffee hour
*Deliver our overflow items to charities we have identified as good recipients.
*Store donated items in your home during renovation of Gore Hall this year, awaiting the new Continuing Bazaar Shop. This will begin in April 2016 or later
*Even an hour of your time can make the work easier for all the other members.

You may contact us through our email or contact any active member.

Pastoral Care Associates

Pastoral Care Associates are fellow 1U members who have been especially trained to provide a confidential, caring presence to congregants undergoing stressful life challenges. Through this minister-extending program, members can receive compassionate care when they are in pain, sick, lonely or struggling with changes. It can be comforting to know you’re not alone and it helps to have someone from 1U’s faith community listen, care, and offer support. If you are in need, contact our Pastoral Care Coordinator at pastoralassociates@OrlandoUU.org.

1U Caring Circle

Members of the Caring Circle offer kind, practical, tangible efforts to other church members who may be experiencing significant joys, concerns, sorrows, or changes in their lives. Monthly contact people follow up on Joys and Concerns expressed in Sunday worship, as well as notices from the minister or other church members, about short-term circumstances that may need attention. Other members serve in providing phone calls, greeting cards, rides to church events, medical appointments, meals for a while, pet care, etc. Please contact our Caring Circle coordinator Jenny Lockington at CaringCircle@OrlandoUU.org for details or to participate.
